Theres a new frequency Oneida County is using for Ambulance Dispatch communications (WQML695) 151.1825 MHz. I added it to my scanner when it was added to the database, but for 3 days, I had not gotten one hit on the channel. So I changed the CTCSS to search, instead of having it on 162.2 as it is listed in the Database, and now im hearing communications, but with a 110.9 PL...can anyone else confirm this?

I've deleted the 162.2 PL from the database, pending further confirmation that the info submitted was incorrect, and that the correct PL on 151.1825 is actually 110.9.

Thanks for noticing, Matt. :)

I saw this channel in the database last weekend. News to me. I still hear ambulances dispatched on the fire control channel. To my knowledge no one at the county level has mentioned that they are changing over their ambulance dispatching to this channel. Last I knew too that this channel was used by the 911 center staff.

Any one else out there in Oneida County scannerland know?

I've had a few issues with the guy who submitted that as being "ALS Dispatch", so I can't say for certain that it's valid. I did try reaching out to a reliable contact up there, but haven't heard back from him yet.

That frequency was submitted some time ago as both analog with 162.2 PL and P25 with 293 NAC.

While we're at it, let's try to find out what the status of 155.325 as "EMS Dispatch" is.

It's not EMS Dispatch. It's used for EMS operations, say at the Utica Boilermaker, or such similar events, or perhaps even MCIs where EMS needs coordination on the scene. A low power tactical channel used for special details, events, or circumstances.

I wouldent call it a low power, since its repeated at 110 watts. I have 14 hits since my lat post, ant the transmissions that were long enough to obtain a PL, are showing a PL of 110.9. I ddi hear what sounded like an Ambulance Dispatch, sending a bus to St. Josephs Nursing home for a transport, but this was before i started the logger. I listened to the transmissions that did not show a PL, and it was only the repeater sending the callsign.

Guy I know at the local radio shop thinks this may be Edwards Ambulance VHF dispatch. Edwards has/had a UHF channel for dispatch. That may be the reason why you hear what amounts to EMS dispatching on that channel. He's still looking into this.

The EMS Dispatch channel of 155.325 is the low power on scene tac channel I was referring to in my earlier post. Sorry for the confusion.

That would make sense, with what i have been hearing, but leaves me questioning why it would be licensed by the county. Keep us posted, as you have more connections than i do down here LOL

According to a reliable source in the area:

As far as I know it is not used for EMS dispatch... it is used by Oneida Emergency Services personnel, Fire Coordinator, Deputy Coordinators and other command personnel at very big incidents.

This frequency is not in the list for fire and EMS... I just checked. I think that guy is hear adjacent channel stuff and is confused.

155.325 is an EMS TAC channel --- seldom if never used,,,, general used during the Boilermaker Roadrace in July.

I've updated the listings.
