Online streaming with BC350C or Pro 83?

I did some searches but I'm still confused as to how to set up an online stream. Is it necessary for the scanner to be computer controllable to set up a live stream? How does the scanner actually hook up with the computer?

Online control is a bonus, but not a requirement for online streaming. The mandatory connection is between the headphone/speaker jack on the scanner, and the line/mic-in jack on the computer. Then, you just let the scanner scan like it normally does, and use that output for the stream.
