I wanted to take the time to thank Boatbod and Max for their help and patience helping me get set up. I found that indeed, in my case, Virtual Machine was no allocating resources for OP25 to function.
I converted the desktop to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, and now OP25 functions, even on the same low level signals. No lost voice or distortions, and near same time decoding. I have a yagi in the garage, waiting for a guy to install it some time to increase the signal strength.
