Is there a way to switch the PSR500 to where it will only recieve the talkgroup ID'S you have entered, or make it recieve all transmissions...I must have hit something to make it only recieve ID's i have stored, my Pro2096 you push Func5 to be able to do this...Any help will be appreciated...

There is no "open" and "closed" bank system in the PSR. You can have a "wildcard" talkgroup though which is basically an open bank. You will have to go in that system and remove the wildcard talkgroup to "close" the bank.

You can do this or if you have an unused scan list you could take advantage of the Object Oriented capabilities of this scanner and copy the Wildcard TGRP to a empty scan list (dedicated to keep it simple). This newly used scanlist can then contain only the talkgroup id's that you want to hear if you do not want to hear every id in the respective group. Simply remove the Wildcard in the newly copied group and then set up each group id you want to monitor. You can get individual id numbers to the group you want to monitor from the RR database. Use the "Dupe" feature to speed up multiple entries.

Download the PSR-500 user manual and look at pages 37-42.

Hope this helps. :)

This is mostly a "re-hash" of what's been said:

You can just temp. or permanent lockout the Wildcard, you don't have to remove it or delete it. I keep all my Wildcards in a scanlist by themselves, so yet another way would be to disable that scanlist in that case, now the scanner only monitors what I have programmed.
