• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Sure, from the recording logs (date & time UTC):

142145
142258
142358
150110
150550

Must have a look at Flightradar24 tomorrow morning and see what briefly out of CH comes up.

These will probably be the last flights out for the season, the cargo ship was in two weeks ago and the fuel tanker pulled out late last week. That usually means it is time to button up for the winter.

Hopefully not.

In the past I've heard them throughout March, and I've read USAF pubs. that say there is a winter fly-in season for Operation Deep Freeze. Solarix reported hearing an ICE 81 flight in mid June last year.

cheers, didn't consider flightradar24 as a guide. may have some luck today.
I haven't heard any flights today. They seem to be every couple of days this time of year.

I suspect they'd depart CH around 6-7am local NZ and arrive back around 9pm as I've heard them asking for the 0800UTC CH weather.

Yes, FR24 does suppress some stuff and not all military aircraft types are equipped with ADS-B, so they may or may not show up in/out of CH.
