So I am moving some things around and while I'm at it I am cleaning up some stuff for the scanners. I wanted to throw this setup out there and get any feedback.
The setup is this, a comet DS150s in the attic. Connected with a 3' run of RJ11 to a Winegard pre-amp that gives a 15dB boost. That then feeds down 40' of rj11 to a two-way splitter that cuts about 3.5dB on each output. Those split feeds each go to one Channel Master cm3418 8-way splitter which is amplified to boost each output up +4.5dB.
I feel like the initial amp more then makes up for and feedline and splitter losses.
