I have a Uniden BCD325P. I am currently only using an aftermarket rubber duckie Remtronix as the antenna. I am setting up a listening station in the basement with my other radios and I have made my run of LMR 400 solid core up to the roof (75ft.). Now I need to pick my antenna. My main two areas of listening are air band 118 to 300 MHZ and then up to the 762-840 MHZ area on the Ohio MARCS IP. I was considering this antenna as an economical choice that may perform well enough in those two areas. Any experience with this antenna anyone (Diamond D220R)? My home location is 800 feet above sea level so I do tend to have good clear reception in my area. I have considered the OMNI X Wide Band Option but at $162.00 I am a little hesitant to pull the trigger. I have also considered the Diamond 150 but the bulkiness of that antenna may be a poor fit for my mast application.
