• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Are you sure they even use radios? The CEU units I've seen have all been dressed in suits and it didn't look like they had a radio.

I met a gentleman who worked for the casino at Woodbine, he did not use radios at all.

I dont hear any OPP units ever at Casino Niagara or Rama, Brantford.

Most probably their " UNIT ID" is 6 xray...they might have a radio in their vehicle in order to communicate to other OPP units while mobile..or to advise the local detachments when they are working in their areas... doesnt mean they use portable radios inside casinos..
