Well actually PD stands for property damage and PI stands for personal injury(ies)
and you can still have more than police respond to a PD.
ie one or multiple vehicle accident with no injuries but fluids leaking or hyrdo pole with wires down and fire will attend.

You might also hear an accident refered to as an MVC, Multiple Vehicle Collision.

I was simplifying the definitions of PD and PI.

And MVC stands for Motor Vehicle Collision. Can be just single vehicle.

Means that only Police are attending. PI means there are injuries.

Not necessarily.

These days, many Property Damage accidents are sent directly to a Collision Reporting Centre and the broadcast is only made for information purposes.

I purposely left Motor Vehicle Collision out, I typed it in then decided to leave it out
just to see who and how many would add "Motor" to this thread.
(sorry hope it didn't offended anybody with my little experiment)

I checked with quite a few police forces in GTA over the past years, many friends in the forces and its amazing how many of the forces or staff in a force mix and match
the meaning of MVC or bunch of other acronyms.

Finding out stuff is half the fun leaving space for others to add to makes the whole experiance more diversified ;o)
