Has anyone ordered anything from theantennafarm.com? What was your experience like?

This is what I'm currently dealing with.

re: antenna farm

Ordered three separate mobile antennas in seperate shipments. All in new condition, appeared not to be returns. They are who I use.

I have made numerous purchases and 1 return with no problems. Looking at what you posted it appears that the item was returned to sender. It looks like it went to SF for some reason (is that your correct location). This wouldn't be the seller's fault unless he mislabeled it. Contact him he is easy to deal with.

Postal service is having some issues also with some new system they have also. Pretty much the same issue its showing it arrived like 300 miles away the same day yet it never actually arrived in the office and or its showing it was sent to the wrong office when it's really still in route. OR it got sent back but if it never arrived in your home office I wouldn't worry too much give them a few days and if nothing changes call the office. (From a postal employee to you)

I agree with the others. It's USPS. They're their own worst enemy by making the information available. You're able to see the problems they're having.

Someone one said with the post office, you pay a quarter for shipping. The rest pays for the storage.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looking at it, I agree it does appear to have been shipped to California (CA) instead of Canada (CA), and then returned to sender. I've contacted staff at The Antenna Farm. Hoping to hear back from them tomorrow morning.

I ordered quality coax cable from them about 5 years ago. Received my shipment within a week. No complaints. Am thinking of purchasing a multiband HT from them after a little more research.

My nephew loves Antenna Farm and has purchased many radios there.

His company likes them too.

USPS has destroyed numerous monitors and a NEW FAX Machine had dent's, etc. in it.

They are careless and play around I think.

Oh yeah this guy is real easy to get along with (joking) and great customer skills (again joking). Below is our recent correspondence after waiting a week for the status to change. Oh but you can bet they charged my credit card the day the order was received.

Me (this was the third request) - "I work the night shift. Could you PLEASE update or send me a tracking number so I do not need to stay up half the morning or get up early just to check if the package has arrived, THANK YOU." (Our complex office is only open 10:30 am until 5:30 pm)

You'll get an email

John Holbrook | Owner
The Antenna Farm

The email that followed-

The comments for your order are: usps

Your order has been updated to the following status:
New status: Shipped

*Yeah I will just wait til it gets here eventually, not sure how this guy would stay in business on EBAY if he was there because they don't play.

I ordered an antenna and 1/2" heliax from Antenna Farms. The antenna was delivered within four days. Since the heliax needed connectors and heat-shrink added, I was not surprised that it took six days before receiving notice of shipment via UPS...

...As I tracked the package daily, I noted on Monday that it was "Out for Delivery"...

...in Colorado! When I called, John said it was likely the wrong tracking number. Sure enough, within a few minutes he sent the correct tracking number and voila! The heliax was on the big brown truck and was delivered a few hours later.

On the whole, I've been very satisfied with my experiences with Antenna Farms.

Placed order on Monday (before they open) and email reply I got says we will update you once we open but I have received nothing.

EDIT: Just received update with tracking....shipped today. Looks like it takes 2 days to ship after order has been placed.

I have done business with AF a few times and have never had an issue. The owner deals with you directly or least he has when I have emailed them with questions. He responded almost instantly to all my inquires regarding any orders I placed as if it was almost as if we were texting instead of e-mailing.

Ordered a run of coax one time and just because it was a day late off the work bench, he upgraded my shipping "free of charge", so that I could receive when originally expected.

AF is is the real deal and I would recommend them to anyone.

Well yes I am going to complain again. I received my order from The Antenna Farm, it took right at 2 weeks to arrive even though he never provided a tracking number.
I had ordered a Tramm 1233 magnetic mount with an SMA F installed to add the antenna I wanted on my work truck since drilling was not an option. When I was setting everything up I went to hook the antenna lead up to the radio and what do I find but a male end on the cable. To make matters worse, even after I took photos of the cable end to include with my email to the Antenna Farm so they would understand my predicament, John has the nerve to ask "Are you talking about this? Tram 1233-SMAF"
Well, yeah it was the only part he had removed the BNC to add an SMA to. the only other items were the antenna and a M/F 90 to relieve the strain on the antenna connector.
I just do not understand some companies that want to get into the internet sales business then drag issues out.
Many of you might have had good experiences but this guy has convinced me to take my business elsewhere in the future and since I used my personal email instead of my business email he will not understand the amount of business he might have received. If you treat a small guy like poo what makes you think he is going to really care about a large account needing special items.

Thats too bad. Wish things would have gone better for you, sounds like he lost a good customer....

I don't blame you for going elsewhere, I would do the same thing in your shoes. Must say I am surprised though, as I have never had an issue with AF no matter the size or specifications of the order I placed.

I'll keep using AF until they do me wrong.

Just thought I'd update this post.... I finally did receive my antenna, after it was shipped the second time. Got it exactly 1 month after ordering it.

The owner (John) did keep in good contact, an apologized for the mixup (although it was USPS's fault). I guess I can't blame the company for something out of their control. With that said I likely will order from them again.

Daniel- a little off topic but how do you like that Laird Technologies EXE-806-BNX antenna and did you buy that from Antenna Farm?
