I heard a couple of ODOT techs on 40015 off the Multnomah County simulcast site and they were doing coverage testing in Wasco County. One guy said he was on site 1C and the other guy said that site is Shaniko. Doing a hex to decimal conversion, 1C comes out as 28 so Shaniko is site 28.

Monitoring this morning, and seeing TG 52 and TG 51 come up, but all I'm hearing is static. Chehalem is reporting as a Phase 1 site. The voice channels show /0 in pro96com, but there's no actual voice on keyup..just static. Not showing encrypted either.

I've heard them test TDMA before without problem in the past, and I haven't changed my scanner settings (BCD325P2, FYI). Any idea what it might be?

Monitor the voice frequencies directly or on another scanner.

I am getting those TGs on Chehalem fine on my 536HP. The traffic is definitely Phase II. Its units doing coverage testing and giving simple law type transmissions like fake license plate numbers etc.

I've also seen TGs 50, 53, and 57 pop up once or twice in the past week or so.

Make sure with your 325P2 that you are using the most recent firmware. When those radios first came out they had an issue with not decoding Phase II that a firmware update fixed. Other than that I don't know...try finding a spot with better reception or other sites if you can.

I already upgraded the firmware, and considering my location, I've come to the conclusion it is/was a weak signal...and the last few days we've had weather-wise hasn't helped either.

I'll have to test it out again on another day off next week.

Wren Peak in Philomath is the only site left to confirm in Western Oregon. I was just in Corvallis this weekend and it was offline still.

I have family over the hill that we visit monthly. I also just picked up a BCD996P2 partially for this system. I will do some checking next time I'm over there if nobody else does first.

I am interested to watch the progress of this system, I watched Kansas build a statewide system when I lived there. It is a much more difficult terrain to propagate RF in here.

Pro96 shows Murdoc Simulcast 4 as : 8080 (T5050) on channel 35, Hulse Ranch is listed as: 808 (T0808) on channel 773.

on my 396 xt getting a very good signal from where I live I programed the Portland simulcast site its working I have wait the techs start talking on it

Clark county washington TRS has been off the the Portland TRS since they rebanded.Why Clackamas county is still on Portland system could be because a officer my have a Affiliated radio on the system. When i was living in Portland i didn't always hear Clackamas county on Portland system.So again a Affiliated radio my be reason why.
