PTAC 149.605 was very active last night with actual calls compared to the usual radio checks; as was PCOM 150.100. It could have planned or unplanned outage.

Interesting. PTAC with activity. Can't say I've heard that in many years. I would think that I should be able to hear this from my location. But I haven't heard anything on it. Although I did notice that some comms were on PCOM for awhile. Might've been Ottawa I could hear on that as the base signal was weak for me at times.
Interesting. PTAC repeater is still active for MOH. I thought industry Canada assigned that frequency , one in a pair for MNR with P25. Has anyone heard any activity from MNR on that frequency pair? Or, is it going to sit dormant like a sitting duck until the new Ontario PSR system is implemented in 3 to 5 years?
I had noticed that too; Ottawa CACC was using PCOM for calls, I heard stuff for downtown. Only the dispatch side, though. Renfrew was also very active on it.
My take on this is MNR repeaters are inverted, repeaters out on 149.170, inputs 149.605.
As for why Ottawa doesn't show in TAFL, who knows, may be for some reason now "protected", or a working understanding by all
involved that for MOH it's a backup. In any case, it's there, not sure the exact location.
