• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I'm guessing they're having some "attitude issues" in the Owasso dispatch center. Might be a good time to submit resumes.

I was listening last night and it just really sounded like the dispatcher was struggling to keep everything under control. But he seemed to be taking out on the officers with a short, snippy attitude. It was really kind of strange.

I was just curious if anyone had noticed. I'm sure it was just a bad situation.

Maybye just a bad night. How busy and stressful can a town like Owasso be????
Pretty bad; The "town" is growing by leaps and bounds everyday and the City administration doesn't seem to understand that the emergency services have to grow to keep up. The FD isn't as much of an issue as the PD, where they are staffing the bare minimum per shift. There's sometimes more cars 10-8 in Collinsville then Owasso!
