Does anyone know the fregquency for the channel P 911 that the police use now to talk privatly? Thanks

hmmm....what police department are you talking about? What is your location??

P911 usually is a designator like 81P911 which stands: 81=washtenaw county P=Police and 911= 911 dispatch center or usually a "central dispatch"

So, just a bit more info is needed before anyone can help!

On the scanner, dispatcher will say ( can you go to P 911 ) and what some poeple are saying, is that it is a private channel and cops themself's can't get the numbers

ah ok, now you are making sense....no P911 is not a private channel.......usually the P911 will be a central dispatch talkgroup and is on the MPSCS statewide Digital system.....

I heard Montcalm County 9-1-1 on the MPSCS system last month. They still have their VHF radios, but I understand that most operations will be going over to the MPSCS in the next few months.
