• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

They're scattered about that's for sure. There are a few listed here, but I would also check the US Scanning mailing lists link to see if we have a Yahoo group for your area listed;

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Programming_Files

Of course, you should also check the various PRO96 Yahoo groups (listed on that wiki article). Don't ignore the Win96 Yahoo group - even if it doesn't have a file for your area, it's very likely someone does have it there, assuming you didn't request one in whatever state's forum you live in.

Get a premium subscription and you can use the database to fill in the freqs and talkgroups from the database using the web service. The very first article in the wiki has the links.
