I believe they are making the transition to the new Rogers County system.

I hear chopped up audio only from the dispatcher, very regular rate. So irritating I just avoid the channel.
I've never heard anything like it before on any radio system.

Pafford is using VHF and UHF patched together. The VHF system is the original pafford system in El Reno and the UHF is the Samaritain system in OK County. The patch is what the agency was told is causing the clicking sound. Its very annoying. Pafford will be moving to OKWIN in the not too distant future with a possible site addition to OKWIN as well. Motorola radio equipment has already been purchased. Encryption is being discussed. No further.

Also, EL Reno Pafford was DMR VHF but was using an expired license and was kicked off the channel without notice in the middle of shift. El Reno PD purchased a new DMR license on another freq for EMS but was advised this is no longer going to be used by EMS and may be backup or an addition to their own PD. All of El Reno needs to go to OKWIN. So tired of DMR systems being used for public safety. Unreliable and sounds terrible.

DMR is fine for PS. They use DMR near me and sounds great.

apparently, there are more than one Pafford EMS. I hear occasionally the one near Tulsa on VHF, which, as referenced above, may be joining the ROgers Co system.
Since the OP shows OKC, I assume he is talking about Pafford EMS in Del City near OKC/
WHich s it?

There is only one pafford ems in oklahoma that im aware of and they have trucks near the Tulsa area as well. Eventually their plan is to consolidate all dispatching for OK near the OKC metro. You may hear Pafford EMS speak to dispatch by addressing them by O-Comm or just Dispatch, they are the same company.

I am not sure where the Rodgers Co thing came into play. Pafford is looking to join OKWIN.

Pafford has an Office/Site in Claremore, not sure about one in Tulsa since EMSA serves it.
