At around 01:00, 44 (Westwood) was dispatched to a report of an MVA with entrapment, with one p/t possibly impaled on the US 30 Bypass east of Airport Rd, Valley. Command reported a 3 car MVA and requested two medevacs to fly. Numerous fire police units to the scene (35/Wagontown, 37/Modena, and 41-43/Coatesville City Bureau of Fire) as well as Rescue 28 (Parkesburg) and other apparatus that I didnt catch. PennSTAR 1 flew 1 p/t to HUP, PennSTAR 4 flew 1 p/t to Reading. Though I didn't confirm it, this appeared to be a fatal MVA just from the sounds of it. Both directions of 30 closed between PA 82 and the western end of the bypass.
At around 03:20 hours, MICU 25-1 (Longwood) was involved in an MVA with entrapment at 839 Baltimore Pike, East Marlborough. The driver of the rig was reported to be trapped. 25, 24 (Kennett) for an engine, Ambulance 23 (Avondale) and Medic 94 (Southern Chester Co EMS) were assigned to the job. 55 (Good Fellowship Ambulance of West Chester) was added for 2 additional BLS units. Both 55/94 units went to Christiana ALS, while AMB23 went to Chester County Hospital BLS.
