• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Anyone know who's using tg58944 on the state system? It's in between Chester Co and and CPD in the database but I can't ID it. Hear it on Richland Simulcast.

Thanks

Monday, Troop 2 Greenwood SCHP was using TG 48944. I thought it unusual that you stated the one you heard was TG 58944. Surely, I thought, both can't be divisible by 16, but darned if they both aren't.

Was TG 58944 analog or P-25? Could you tell by inference who might have been using it?

It sure sounded like it could have been HP traffic, but wasnt active enough to get a more detailed ID. I actually wasnt even able to get any callsigns. Just wondering if anyone had a definitive ID on it.

It was analog voice. Hmm I wonder...
