Does anyone know about the seven new radio frequencies that Springfield Terminal Railway System ( PanAm ) just got granted? It covers from ME down the coast through MA to Schenectady NY. The new frequencies are 160.23, 160.26, 160.35, 160.62, 161.25, 161.31, 161.57. The new frequencies were granted July 23, 2021 by the FCC.

Don't think they are "NEW"
160.2300. 160.3500 and 160.6200 have been Pan Am for years - not new
160.2600 might be for when on CP tracks

Were they new or renewals? If new, what are the callsigns for the licenses?

As stated above, these are not new frequencies.

The license renewals were granted 07/23/21 according to the FCC's ULS.

You may be right. After looking at Radio R, they all fall under the same call sign KIZ428. I haven't listened to any of them yet. Does anyone know how the frequencies above are used? I listen to the usual ones 161.16 and 161.52. Any other ones in the central Mass with good chatter?

I hear a lot on those two frequencies. I can hear District three all the time but the Q427 & the Q426 only two trains I can hear the train talk back if whey are in the Worcester Ma area but after Clinton, I can only hear the dispatcher. Maybe you have a bad antenna connection.

I meant the other frequencies, other than the main channels always used, that the op listed other than .16&.52 thats most common even though the other freqs are listed to a nearby tower, Ive never heard from them on my scan list.
A few at a nearby terminal are listed as a FB2 repeater on 160.230, 161.250, and even 161.400 is listed as a 10 watt repeater but Ive only heard simplex yard portables doing yard switching.
Also listed as a Base are 161.37, 160.44 and 160.62 but never heard anything.
The above post lists MOW, car shop and yard channel but this yard has no car shop. I'e assume these are standard channels included when they put up a base tower even though they arent often used in this area
