PARKER – A woman was in critical condition in a hospital on Wednesday after construction workers pulled her from a pond.

Parker Police say the Aslan Construction workers were working in the area near the Salisbury Equestrian Park when they found the elderly woman floating in a wastewater effluent pond at about 11:30 a.m.

According to police, the construction workers immediately tried to resuscitate the woman.

Parker-South Metro Fire Authorities responded to the scene and transported the woman to a local hospital where she's listed in critical condition.

Police say they do not suspect foul play, but did not immediately release any information on how the woman ended up in the pond.

The woman's identity was not immediately released.
