Now that I am heavily involved with out cities CERT, it was time to upgrade my technician license. WHile living in an apartment prevents me from using outdoor antenna's, I wanted to get my General license. So three weeks ago, I took the test and passed ! Now I'm a big boy :)

PCTEK, congrats on your General.

Not to knock the Tech license and holders of same, but there's a lot bigger playground out there when you get the General ticket. Have fun.

Congrats on the upgrade! I lived in an apartment as a ham for many years and was very active on HF as an Advanced Class (which no longer exists). So don't look at being an apartment dweller as a hindrance to getting on HF. Here are some ideas I found by Googling the phrase "Ham antennas for apartment dwellers":

Limited Space and Indoor Antennas

https://www.google.com/search?q=Ham+antennas+for+apartment+dwellers

Again, congrats on the upgrade! Hope to work you on HF one day from your apartment!

Congrats!
Just passed the Tech and General last weekend myself.
Even though I know it will take a week or two I am checking the FCC database daily.
