Let’s see who has the brains in the game in this day in age!! And patience also...and I’m also not sure if this is in the right section but here goes...

Ok well I was given a pro 74 rat shack radio from my lovely wife for Xmas unbanounced to her it doesn’t do what I need it to witch is listen to frederick md police or the city of Brunswick md police I hear so much different agencies it’s pretty cool....but...I’m wondering if there’s any way I can hear those digital trunked ch with this radio I think it’s phase 25 or whatever correct me if I’m wrong....I hate hearing there’s no way possible...but is there any mods for these options??

Of any mods at all if so I’d like to hear about them and any other cool things or ideas with this device and also I was wondering if it was possible if I can listen to the CB ch on here you know like 27 MHz I think it is..

Thanks in advance thanks I really appreciate everyone’s time and patience lol I’ve searched and searched all over google maybe hopefully I’m missing something I would love to make something work...

That radio cannot do digital or trunking.
Cannot monitor CB (out of the frequency range of the scanner).

There are no mods to enable your current scanner to receive P25 digital trunked systems.

You need a digital trunking scanner. There are several available:
Uniden HomePatrol-2
Uniden BCD325P2
Uniden BCD996P2
Uniden BCD436HP
Uniden BCD536HP

The BCD436HP and BCD536HP can receive CB frequencies (although you'll need something more than a handheld whip antenna to get good reception) as well as digital trunked systems on all frequencies used by public safety agencies. The HomePatrol-2, BCD436HP, and BCD536HP have a database that is updated weekly containing all licensed frequencies in North America. You simply tell the scanner where you are, and it will automatically scan local traffic. You can also connect a GPS to the scanner and the scanner will automatically update what it scans as you travel.

This scanner is actually a European scanner. It doesn't scan CB,
or the correct UHF band that is used in the US. I believe it scans 60-88 MHz, normal VHF and low UHF.
For what you want to scan where you live, you'll need either a Whistler or Uniden that scans Phase I P-25, and maybe one that scans DMR, since there is that digital mode in your county. Whistler 1088, TRX series will do both. But, and I do mean but, those scanners are light years ahead of the two you have.

PRO-74 was a RadioShack model sold in the US. Not a European scanner.
