Hi all, I'm using unitrunker to monitor a site via the USB cable. If I monitor a site that is programmed in to a playlist it works fine, however I think I might be missing some due to it scanning the primary and alternate control channels. So I did a limit search locked it on the control channel I wanted but nothing seems to be getting passed to the computer. I switch back to the playlist with that site and it works just fine. My question, is the PC/IF CC dump functionality only for playlists and not active during scans of frequency ranges? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would think you should be able to hold on any active control channel and have Unitrunker work fine. I have never done it while in scan mode, but from what you say that must work.

I have since stopped using an expensive scanner to feed Unitrunker and started using the $18 USB dongles. I find they work much better than a radio without issues.

Thank you for the reply Mark, I also have 2 USB dongles monitoring other systems. Maybe i will tune one of them over to this new system and see what happens.

Program that freq into a scan list by it self then just run that list and see what happens.

To lock onto a single control channel and see the CC data on the virtual serial port, you have to program a system with just the control channel you want to decode, adding a non-used talkgroup. Then using the browse objects option in the main menu, locate that talkgroup and press the SEL key to start monitoring.

Using a limit search will not work for data output.

Using an active talkgroup will interrupt the control channel data whenever that talkgroup becomes active. The same would be true in scan mode any time any talkgroup becomes active.

Entering multiple sites into the trunked system could confuse the program you're using to decode the data as the scanner may switch from site to site as it's scanning due to signal issues.
