I am new to SDR and still learning how to use it. Could someone tell me what the peak that appears in the center of the display is, should it be there and how do I get rid of it if it should not be there?

Thanks & 73s

What rbm has told you is probably the answer. However, you really have not included enough information to be sure.

Not all SDRs and SDR software are the same. What rbm has described will probably fix the issue if you are using an RTL SDR (dongle) or a sound card SDR and the SDR# program. If you are not using that specific combination it will not apply and more information will be needed.

My bad

You are right I did leave out important information. I am using a dongle with E4000 and running SDR#. The correct IQ did drop the center peak down. and that helped a lot. I am thinking of going to the DVB-T+DAB+FM (black case) dongle. Thanks to everyone for the help. I am still learning.

Just wanted to point out that I have had some issues using the Correct IQ box when decoding a digital stream in external software, UniTrunker to be specific. My guess is it filters out some important part of the digital signal. It works great for analog signals though.
