I've had this radio for quite a while but never used the buttons mentioned above. In fact I'm not even sure what I would program into these buttons. Do any of you have functions programmed into PF1 or PF2? If so how do you use these Personal Function buttons? Looking for ideas.

The programming of PF1 and PF2 is covered on page 66 in the instruction manual.

Those buttons can be programmed to provide easy access to functions that aren't otherwise hard-coded into the front panel. By default, PF1 is programmed for FR.BAND (cycles through the frequency bands) and PF2 is programmed for CTRL (changes control without changing the PTT band). I think I have mine programmed for GRP.UP (cycles through the memory groups) and MUTE (mutes the non-PTT band when the PTT band is receiving a signal).

Likewise, the four buttons in the right column of buttons on the microphone keypad can be programmed for various functions.
