Hello. I am doing some consulting work for the Pfizer Fire Brigade. Part of the process is evaluating their notification and radio system. They are on the Pharmacia and Upjohn (Pfizer) DMR Motorola Capacity Plus Single Site (TRBO) system. Is anyone familiar with this system?

The question I have is, can the fire brigade use Motorola dual band radios, APX series or other, so they have VHF capability, in addition to communicating on the Pfizer system? Most, if not all of the surrounding FD’s use VHF, and current communications require two radios to communicate.

The fire brigade has been told no, but I just want to verify that it can’t be done, as opposed to someone doesn’t want to do it. Thank you in advance.

Don't want to revive a dead thread but the Kenwood VP8000 may be what you want. Does P25 and DMR, along with VHF, UHF, and 7/800.

Edit: realized it's a Cap + site, so the Kenwood wouldn't work
