Picking up Morse code on my AM radio

I have an Onkyo TX-4500 receiver I use for home theater and whatnot, and I scan the AM "waves" for oldies music, and if I set the tuner to the lowest frequency on the dial, I hear a morse code tone. On my digital radios, like my portable handhelds and Sony mini hifi, I can hear it on the lowest frequency as well. I am getting this signal in Grove City, Ohio. I took a YouTube recording of it. Any help on finding the source of these transmissions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure you are not listening to longwave?

It is possible, what frequency are you on? It could be RF noise from an appliance

It's the "Fuller" NDB out of Columbus, Ohio sending Morse ID "OS". 515 kHz is of course right at the bottom of the AM broadcast band.

So airplanes/marine boats follow the signal?

There is a piece equipment on the plane that will tell you if the incoming signal is straight ahead, left or right. You fly, keeping the signal as appropriate.

Typically you choose an AM station or NDB near your target airfield, and fly straight towards it.
