Planespotting Locations for JFK or LGA?

Wasn't sure if I should post this in the NY regional forum or not.

It's hard to find up to date information about spotting locations for JFK or LGA. Are there any places a person can legally go to casually watch some planes with a scanner?

Just as a point of comparison, LAX has In-and-Out Burger, DCA has Gravely Point. What's New York got?
