Does anybody know the scanner frequency for pleasant view fire department in golden ? The frequency listed in the radio reference database does not seem to work . And I really want to hear what's going on at my department when I'm not at the station ?
Thanks for you help.

it works... i used to have it programmed in mine.
what kind of scanner do you have? i'm betting you are trying to use an older scanner that will never work to listen to them

try reading some topics on digital trunking scanners and the colorado DTRS that will solve your questions.

i have no idea why you want to listen to them... but enjoy

I dug out an old scan colorado last dated 2001 . it shows pleasant view was on jeffcos digital system back then. 155.220 was being used by elk creek , indian hills and lookout but I'm unaware if others use it.

Seems they're on the fire department? I listen to them. They're on Jeffco Fire SE (TG 1483) for dispatch on the state system. I imagine they use 1491 for TAC but all the calls I've heard they stay on 1483. Lookout tower will work great for Pleasant View.

I rarely listen to the convention freqs (45.080 and 153.935) but I've heard Golden Gate on them. Not sure if Pleasant View tones out on one of the other as I mainly listen to DTRS and not conventional freqs. As far as I know only Elk Creek uses 155.220.

I understand that. I just try and not listen to the radio 24/7. When I'm off duty I just think differently I guess.
PVFD doesn't tone out. Just uses the statewide system to the best of my knowledge

Well that's what sets some firefighters apart from others. Some of us don't just play firefighter for a few hours a month on shift . Some off us like to do more then the minimum and always be ready . But I guess I just think differently.
