Yes in addition to Hey's post above which are correct a couple others you hear in Delaware.

10-76 which is 911 hang up or disconnected call...Automatic Police response.
10-7 at 99-6 means Trooper is out of service at Troop 6 or whatever troop # posted.
10-34 is popular for any warrants on stops.

Just a couple off the top of my head.

Much of the "lingo" heard used by the police is a simple sentence abbreviation, not to be found in print; can mainly be determined over time by listening.

Some of the most common:

goa - gone on arrival
utl - unable to locate
sow - sent on way
# followed by c - number of citations issued
# followed by w - number of warnings issued

41xx - is a section number of Delaware Code ( I beleive it is Title 21 S41XX)

like a 4172b i.e. speed exhibition/spin wheels fine $28.75 just an example and probaly the fines are out of date, but the 41 codes are still in use for the must part. And 21 codes are registration/ 27 codes license/ 41 codes moving violations /42 codes accident reporting/ and lastly 43 codes are equipment.Mike

Sometimes they get a little creative with their use of the 41xx codes. Heard last week they wanted a section to charge a driver for warning on-coming trafffic of a radar trap. I do not remenber the section, but the gist was having flashing lights on a vehiclle. Duuh, can we say turnsignals, 4-way flashers, heck, even comcast cable trucks have strobelights front and rear.

I think that was warning on coming motorists, with flashing your high beams. To warn of a radar trap and that is against Delaware law.I guess it could be a 4355a (but then again so could anything) lol Mike
