Hello I recently got a BCT15X and every few seconds it pops while a dispatcher/crew is talking. Is there a setting that will fix that? Thanks!

Welcome to the RR forums. Hard to say for sure what you're hearing without an audio or video sample. Could be a source of RFI within your monitoring location or another station transmitting on the same frequency (data bursts from a CAP+ rest channel?). Does this happen regardless of what frequency you're monitoring? Do the "pops" happen at a regular interval (always x number of seconds apart) or are they completely random?

Are all priority modes & close call PRI turned off?

I listen to csx/ NS in the Alabama area. And yes it does do it on other frequency's as well. Trying to submit a small clip also.

Anything set to priority scan, the radio takes a quick break even while receiving a lower priority call to see if there is some important call or not. That will cause like a ticking or poping sound.
Make sure all of the priority settings are turned off unless you want them.
See Whiskey3JMCs reply.

Looks like you're operating in a vehicle? There are a plethora of sources of RF in vehicles which can cause undesired noises. Does the popping occur when the engine is off? How is the BCT15X powered?

Doesn't matter engine on or off. Powered by A Milwaukee top off that has a 120V plug.

Double check to make sure that Weather priority is off. I had that happen a number of time across a number of different Uniden scanners. It was really annoying because I've never used Weather priority. It's possible to turn it on inadvertently while trying to do something else.

Try disconnecting the antenna, hold the radio on a channel where you have heard the pop and turn the squelch down until you hear white noise. If you don't hear the pop, it rules out the radio as the source. If practical, you could also try using the radio in the house on 120v and see if you still get the pop on received transmissions. If you don't hear it in the house, then perhaps the power hookup in your vehicle might be the source. Just a thought.

Are you using an amplified speaker by chance? If you are it's possible a bit of DC is creeping into the audio, perhaps because the speaker jack is hot (has power for running speakers). If that's the case a ground loop isolator might be the answer here.
