I am trying to find a good handheld scanner that I can mod to work with T4win that I can take around with my laptop so I can be more mobile. I have looked at a few but I dont know which ones are easy to modify and just need some help with this. Hopefully someone camn help me find a good portable.

Thanks

The I just did a Pro95 and it was very easy. The place were you connector the scanner is a bare wire or post(not really sure what it is called), right below the squelch knob. There is plenty room in the case. I used a mono audio jack thru a hole I drilled in the side and connect it to my sound card with a mono non-attenuating cassette recorder cord, and grounded it to a shield on the board.

I've tapped two BC245s now and find them fairly easy to do. The mod is available on a lot of websites.
