That is the smaller of the State’s SOWs (sites on wheels)

I had the opportunity to use the big one. It has a trunked system as well as conventional repeaters on different bands that can be linked if needed.

It is great the state has resources if needed where you can get a site up in hours in the event of a disaster. Train for disasters and hope you never need to use the training.

are these part of the NJICS or the National interop deployable trunked systems? Also how does a department get access to that?

Most government agencies want at least the same resources that the asking agency needs.
That would be like a untrained citizens fire department asking for a full blown mutual aid from a trained department.
