• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

So I'm interested in seeing if anyone knows if the postal service around San Antonio uses any radios? I work about a 1/2 mile from the airport mail facility and travel past the Perrin Beitel office. I see the hge trucks all over town- surely my tax dollars and stamps don't pay for Nextel. Anyone?

Also, do any of the private airlines or air maintenance companies around the airport use radios? I just figured arouns the sirport has to be busy with some traffic- since I can't monitor SAPD (which stinks... in my opinion).

Postal Ops are on 414.725 think it is in the database under the federal heading, check there for the PL. this is the primay and I think there base is at the main post office on perrin betil. As far as the private airlines check the database under the SAT airport, they have some ops listed for Hallmark etc....
