What is the actual power draw of the BCD535HP on battery power? While scanning and catching hits etc'? Then add the Wifi Dongle more I assume? How much current does it use?

DC power

The manual says the power supply is rated at 750mA. I'm trying to figure out how long I can run on a deep cycle battery for example one from an electric wheel chair? 12V 55aH less than 1A load = 55 hours or more?

you could get the item device lab has indicated or you can just use a ammeter in line either way once you know the max current draw the rest is simple math. I would do measurements with full volume on an active channel all display setting set to max just to get a worst case value.

Hold channel High Min 13.339 243 WI-Fi plugged in

*Holding on conventional channel, squelch at 0, noise output to speaker

Voltage measured with Fluke 187, current with Fluke 8050A
