"Cal Fire is responding to a vegetation fire near Santa Margarita on Monday afternoon.
The fire was first reported about 2:45 p.m. Monday in the area of 3055 W. Pozo Road, according to Cal Fire. As of 2:50 p.m., the fire had burned 25 acres.
The fire is currently burning grass and woodland areas, according to Cal Fire spokesman Chris Elms. He said there is no structure threat that he is aware of.
The agency issued a Red Flag Warning for San Luis Obispo County on Sunday to be in effect through Tuesday, due to high fire danger.
According to scanner traffic, potentially 1,000 acres of land could burn. The fire was burning at a “violent rate of spread,” according to scanner traffic.
This fire comes as firefighters battle multiple fires in both Northern and Southern California."
