Nice job on the antenna's, how well does that shack VHF/UHF antenna do indoors? Big LCD monitors sure are making nicer pics than us with CRT monitors - Very Nice Shack dude!

Nice shack. What kind of scanner is the one farthest right on the top row?

well, since its indoors, it does ok. I can pick up everything within a good 10-15 mile radius. For where its mounted and its so/so reputation, its not bad.

I call it my "pre-shack" because its just an old/cheap "L" shaped desk form Office Depot. If you look in the pix, you can see that the top teir is broken of on the right side from leaning on it. And you really cant tell but the desk sags in the middle-I have 2 1x4's screwd to the bottom to keep it from collapsing. Im making/planning a desk made of 2x4s and some 1/2inch ply so it will be "lean"proof. should be done in a month--ill have pix!

FYI-that IS the kitchen behind the big monitor----strategicaly placed to keep an eye on any activities that may be going on in there.MUHAHAHAHAHA!

from my current position, i can pick up
Anheuser-Busch(MotoII) 7.4 miles, 5bars
Travis AFB(MotoIIDigi.) 15.2 miles, 5bars
Vacaville PD(MotoII) 17.4 miles, 2-4bars
and Sacramento PD(MotoII) 49.1 miles 0bars

radio:BCT15

Sacramento, i can only pick up at night when the sun goes down. I can hear them, but just barely. I usually end up going to a stream site to listen to them.
No EDACS to pick up from my location.

It works well enough for what it is.
im gonna try to mount it outside and see the differance

btw, all the coax that i have is RG58U-

Someone asked so i did----------i moved my antennas outdoors and did a little shuffling around to remove/measure/guesstimate some thing with the new desk im building--saw my radios and thought--THAT LOOKS COOL!

so i made a short video
hope you like...http://s289.photobucket.com/albums/ll234/r1vince/scanners/?action=view&current=nite004.flv

Wow, you're right there in my old neighbourhood! I haven't been to Solano County in thirty years, but I spent the worst two years of my life there, lol. Better you than me!

One suggestion that might help. I see you run 2 monitors (in addition to 2 keyboards). You might want to get a KVM switch, that way you could run only 1 keyboards, mouse and still run both your systems.

I run it on my home office setup. Though I had to run a second keyboard due to needing to be on seperate systems at the same time (but works great for switching monitors). Will be posting my pictures soon of my setup.

Other than the one suggestion great looking so far (love that sony flat screen.

Way ahaed of you on the KVM switch--

what you see is correct 2 monitors-2 keyboards-2 mouse-

what you dont actually see is 4 towers
1 can be seen to the left side- thats for gaming ONLY(you got me MaxTracker)
the Sony flat has 3 inputs --i use it primarily for gaming and ocassional scanner control---the small monitor i use for surfing and scanner control on any/all of the other 3 towers(1 is LINUX)
