It used to be that the database provided band plans and trunking tables for the various scanners. Is that now for premium subscribers only? I know that they will be included if downloaded from the RR database. Thanks!

You're confusing the old Motorola Type I/II trunking tables with the newer P25 Channel ID tables. The former were and are available freely when downloading those older Motorola systems; the latter were implemented just a few years ago and were never available freely, nor do they get passed along to any programming software even if you are a premium member.

The PRO-96 does not download a band plan or trunking tables from the control channel. For P25 VHF and UHF systems, a band plan or trunking tables is required. Are you saying that VHF and UHF P25 systems will not function if downloaded from the database?

What I'm saying is that the P25 Channel ID tables are a newer feature that were added in May of 2022, and they are available only to premium subscribers via the RRDB trunked system site details web pages. Those tables are not exposed to the RadioReference Database Web Service API, and therefore are not and were never available via programming software.

Again, you're probably confusing those newer P25 tables with the older Motorola Type I/II Site Custom Frequency tables which are available via programming software.

If you are programming a P25 system into a PRO-96, I guess you'll have to find the site's band plan and enter it into the scanner manually. That has always been the case, nothing has changed.
