Priority scan?

I was looking over the General settings in Proscan and noticed the Priority scan tab just wondering if this will make a difference to have it set to plus on for the frequencies I have set to Pri for my bcd996p2

This is a scanner question. ProScan can change the value but ProScan didn't dream up the option.
