Here in Chippewa County Michigan the local fire department went from VHF to the Michigan P25 system. I have an SDS100. I had priority scan set up for the VHF frequency, as that frequency is no longer being used took priority off. Set the system to priority id scan and the Tgid (6289) as priority, using Sentinel In my favorites list. Turning on the scanner I get Priority Scan No Channel. Am I missing something, or is it because VHF and P25 Priority is like comparing Apples to Oranges.

Apples and oranges. The priority setting for conventional (what you called VHF) has no bearing on trunked systems priority scan and priority ID. What you did is proper process for trunked systems, but it will only jump to that channel (talkgroup) while it is on that system and the site with the priority TG active on it.

To say it more simply, you don’t have to set on scanner-wide priority if you don’t have any conventional priority channels.

The easy fix is: Edit the Profile, go to the Miscellaneous tab and turn Priority Scan Mode to Off.

Yeah, this Priority Scan Mode and Priority ID Scanning stuff is pretty complicated in the beginning.

Or...go into Menu...Priority Scan...press E (Enter)....Set Priority...press E (Enter)...Set Priority OFF.

That message will disappear. Then follow the instructions mentioned about removing it from Sentinel so it doesn't reappear if you modify any programming, or update firmware.
