• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I see in the ARC500 software there is the setting for priority checked, it looks to be default at 20. So, it checks the priority every two seconds. So if I change that setting to 10, I assume it will check the priority every one second. I noticed on the actual Motorola and Macom two way radios the priority is checked much faster, almost like two or three times a second where it sounds like a rapid tapping, rather than an audio cut out every two seconds.

Is it possible to get the PRO-106 to check the priority more frequent than once a second?

If 20 = 2 seconds that implies that the number is in 1/10th second increments. If you want it to check every 0.3 seconds, put a 3 in the box.
