You'll have to be a lot more specific - like what system you are trying to hear, to start. Go up to the blue toolbar under Database and use the pulldowns. Let's see the URL...

I have ordered software from this site and a cable from RS but am still aprehensive about getting this thing up and running. I may have jumped into something over my head since all the directions I have seen are so complicated. I hope software comes with a helpfile. I have also inadvertenly erased my Vscanner folder 12. Is there any way to recover this? Thanks for any help!! The database I want to use is Ga. Houston and Peach Cos.

Have you got your cable yet, and, are you using Win500?
Good evening! I am new here and hope you or someone can help me. My mom just bought a Radio Shack Pro-106 scanner. Spent a good deal on it and we can't figure out where to get the scanner channels for our area - specifically Dauphin County, PA (Swatara Township fire, police and the city of Harrisburg are the main ones). Any ideas or places I can look? Thanks in advance.

try looking in the RR database at top left corner & use the drop downs until you find your state, county etc.

In ARC500 if you use Auto-Assign scanlist per category and check rename scanlist box the software will import data to scanlist 01 through 07.
Use both Houston and Peach controls (CC red) and alternates (ACC blue). This will import 3 freqs.
Using Import will require premium membership, but that can be accomplished as you register the software.

Thanks to all of you who posted repl;ies to my problem. I received my cable and activated the ARC500 software and hopefully I have uploaded most frequencies in my area that I am interested in. The RR import seems to be a lifesaver. If this doesn't work I will yell again.Thanks !!

Frank I really appreciate your help.One question though. When I tried to upload the vscanner channels I got an error msg about not finding a start point and another time a port error. Do you have any wisdom to offer on this problem? Thanks for any help you can advise!! Also do you have any suggestions on an ext. ant. and best coax to get!! I did mention I was using ARC500 software,I think!

ARC doesn't do V-Scanner well. Start point would be the pulldown next to Select V-Scanner folder. Comport can be found in Device Manager in Com & LPT. Should be listed as USB Serial port with a number.
I use a Scantenna with RG-6.
