Pro-106: Pro 106 software

I listen to a pro 106 and last evening I overheard dispatch talking about taking system down three hours for an upgrade. I think the number 700 was referenced. This morning, nothing is coming across scanner. I cleared programming and updated frequencies with no change. The trunked sytem on RR show they have been updated in the last 24 hrs and 7 days. I'm not very tech savvy other than the on/off switch and am wondering if the scanner itself may need some sort of software update and how that is done.

It would be a whole lot of help to know where you are (county/state is fine) and what system you were listening to before the 'switch'. It may be that you simply need to reprogram, but let's get those 2 pieces of information first

Indiana, Putnam county. Think the system is Indiana Project Hoosier SAFE-T (Motorola)

The upgrade you heard mentioned was the switch from the old SAFE-T(Motorola) system to the new SAFE-T(P-25) system. You'll need to program the new P-25 system in.
