PRO-164 Help (Doesnt Boot Up)

When I turn on my RS Pro-164 it goes to the screen

boot ver: f1.01
appl ver: 1.07
cpu sw upgrade

and the backlight stays on. when I press enter the wait for pc/if appears then when I press enter again it reboots then counts through every channel on the scanner. When I go to update the firmware the update doesnt recognize the com port during the test portion. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Not quite sure how to but you may need to find the correct com port. I believe you have to open up the device manager in order to find the correct port.

The port works with win 97 but for some reason, no go with the update

Possible stuck key or dirty PC/IF jack.

Normally you get that screen when you power up and hold down the PGM key. So it sounds like a key is stuck to me.
