Well what in the world. Hmm...I assumed it would automatically store frequencies as well with the signal stalker. Now this just has me puzzled. Even my old Uniden 2500xlt would auto store frequencies. I just looked through the paper manual and I cannot find anything about automatically storing found frequencies.
I never used that feature, but indeed a bummer for those that might.
Okay, I just read the Wiki for the 164 and see where it says autostore for Signal Stalker II. Signal Stalker I will autostore, but not on the 164. Signal Stalker II does not auto store from what I've read in the manual. The parenthesis and the text in it should be edited out on the wiki.
Some mention of Win97 software should be on that page, or the linked programming page. True the software costs money and is so well worth it.
Anyways, anyone who stumbles on this thread should note that there was a recent firmware upgrade for the 163/164 in March 2012. See the RS support page. (You'll need the connector cable to install.)
