• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I'm looking for an experienced programmer of a Pro-197. Being familiar with Westmoreland County, PA would be a plus.

Why not get a Premium Subscription to RR, programming software, and program it yourself? It isn't that hard and you have all kinds of help right here on RR. These things, coupled with the experience you will gain, will be a great help to you later when you decide you want to "tweak" and/or change things.

may be a good idea to ask in the PA forum??:)
He did post in the PA forums for an issue he was having with receiving broken audio. Hense his asking about reprogramming.
I would not use the preprogramed data from the vscanfolder for PA the data may not be current. You need to input the data from the RR database.

Thank you. I thought the preprogramed stuff might be outdated. I'll try the RR subscription as soon as I have time. Guess I'll need to buy the RS programming cable eh?
