Does anyone have a source for a schematic for a Radio Shack PRO-197 scanner? I've searched around the internet (including Ebay) and haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks, Chuck

Dave,

Thanks, that worked out great. I didn't realize the PRO-106 was the same as the Pro-197. I used the schematic to identify two resistors I messed up when I was installing a Line Out tap. Damn resistors they use 1/16 watt and are very easy to damage. And, of course, they have no markings on them so to get it working temporarily I had to guess at the values, and that resulted in low volume (the resistors are in the audio stage). After putting in the correct resistors, the scanner has full volume again.

I wish I could ask "Don Starr" one of the designers of the 197/106 why one of my 197,s all of a sudden starts turning on and off SL5 like "ONOFFONOFFONOFF, then when you use the #5 key to pgm a freqy it goes "555555555 and you have to turn off and on the scanner to get it back to normal....I think the #5 key is sticking....
