i have a radioshack scanner pro-2014 and when i go to manually program and put the frequency in my scanner it only hold 7 numbers but the frequency in my area on the site show 8. i dont have a manual for the scanner i got it used. If some one cold help me it would be great or help me figure out the right frequency number for this model

You have 3 digits and 4 decimals? Just enter the 7 digits it can handle. It doesn't matter as the scanner either will use the correct 8 digits as it will self adjust to the bandplan or the 7 and 8 digits are non important as it is so low of a fraction of the frequency that it doesn't matter to the filters in a scanner or the frequency drift and accuracy of it in LO-VHF frequencies and upwards.

Programming steps are on pages 15 and 16 of the PRO-2014 manual. Enter 7 0f the 8 digits of the frequency and that will be close enough for decent reception.
