Hi 10_8_Comm welcome to RadioReference :)

Your scanner should be able to get NFM , in fact that should be it's default for the VHF,UHF bands.

Put up a link for what you were trying to monitor and see if we can figure it out.

NFM = Narrow FM; FMN = FM Narrow

The PRO-2055 will work on Narrow FM frequencies. When you try to program some frequencies, the scanner will round them to the nearest frequency it knows. But you should still be able to hear what you programmed for. One thing however, if the FM signal being broadcast is not using as "wide" of a channel as the scanner expects, it will sound quieter.
