Pro 2055

Hey All

I am wondering if you can take the Board ( master Board) from a Pro 2096 and put it in a Pro 2055. I Have heard that would be bettter off just buying a new scanner but i am just wondering if this is possible at all. Radio shack Should have made their scanners so when digital trucking came out you can just get a new board and become digital capable.

Is it possible? Yes, if you know what you are doing. Will it drop right in? No. You'd need to change the entire guts though, not just one board. If you like doing this type of thing as a hobby, great. If you are doing it to save money, you won't.

I actually happen to know a little about this first hand. But rather than take a board from one scanner and put it into another, I designed my own board.
